Gabe and Haley met through their very own matchmaker, Mike Daher! To make a long story short, Mike is Gabe’s brother and was previously Haley’s professor in pharmacy school. Their first face-to-face encounter was 5 days later - in Newport Beach- at the bar “The Wild Goose Tavern”where Gabe could not keep his eyes off Haley. He knew he had to see her again ASAP, so he asked to take her out to dinner the following night at a restaurant in Corona Del Mar. They shared LOTS of laughs and stories on those first 2 dates, and immediately realized that what they shared was special. They told each other on date 1 that they were people who “never wanted to get married” - but that went out the window on date #2 when Gabe (drunkenly) told Haley he was falling for her. Gabe repeatedly asked her during the first few weeks of dating to be his girlfriend, but she politely declined (if you know Haley, this isn’t surprising ha-ha). However, Haley knew Gabe was “the one” after she took him home to meet her family. So, as Gabe was leaving her parents’ house, Haley officially asked him to be her boyfriend. The rest is history!
