Our story begins in a tenth grade Social Studies classroom, where Blake spent his time joking, laughing, and distracting others while Haley, unbeknownst to him, slowly laid the groundwork for what would be a high school romance for the ages. We spent the early years of our dating life becoming each other's best friend with every class, football game, and school dance we spent together.

Graduation ushered in a new season in our relationship, as Haley headed to Western Washington University, and Blake to Seattle Pacific University. We counted ourselves lucky that we were only separated by an hour and a half drive (or 2.5 hour bus ride during Blake's freshman year) from Seattle to Bellingham.

College was a fruitful time that led to an abundance of individual growth and fortification of our relationship. We found that what we were building would last.
