Adam and Haley met in high school, despite growing up down the street from one another. Haley ~strategically~ chose to sit next to Adam in study hall where they got to know each other. Adam asked Haley on a date to go walk his dog, Nya, at Glacial Park. They would both say that after the first date, they knew they wanted to be together.

When Haley started college at the University of Iowa, they began a long distance relationship for the next 4 years. Between Adam's paramedic classes and the fire academy, the two made time for countless phone calls and FaceTimes. When Haley started her senior year, they knew that they wanted to start a life together after graduation. When Haley got a job offer in Tucson, Arizona, Adam supported her decision to take it and decided that he would move out there with her.

Before the two moved, Haley convinced Adam to adopt a dog. Despite this being Haley's idea, Adam was the one that picked out Zeke. They then packed up their things, Nya, and Zeke, and moved into their apartment in Oro Valley, AZ.

After a year of adventures, they decided to move back home to be with family and plant their roots. Once they settled back in, they decided that Zeke needed a friend, and once again, Adam picked out Ruby. In the fall of 2022, Adam and Haley bought a dog friendly house in Johnsburg.

7 years after they met, Adam proposed to Haley in the same spot that he took her on their first date. He had family and friends waiting at the house to surprise Haley with an engagement party when they got back, which she would say was the best day of her life (this far).

They are excited to continue their love story as a married couple in 2024!
