Our Wedding

How We Met

We first met in the mid-spring of 2013. Skyler happened to be at Wayne Park in Waverly, Ne with a group of mutual friends. I happened to be helping a friend walk her dogs through the park at that exact time. We got introduced by our friends. It was a short exchange before we left the park.

How We Got Our First Date

One day I was having car troubles and couldn’t get my Jeep (known as green machine 🤣) to turn over. I remembered that Skyler had said that he worked at an auto body shop in town. I called one of our mutual friends and asked if he called send me Skyler’s number so I could see if he could look at my Jeep. I called Skyler, and of course he was working since it was the middle of the day. He was confused who had called him and after explaining it was me from the park, he then asked how in the world I got his number! 😂I explained everything to him and he agreed to stop by after work to look at it. Of course, me being me I got all cute and patiently waited for him. It didn’t take long, as literally he touched the Jeep and it started to work! He swears I did it all on purpose and to get him to go out with me! But that was not the plan at all! 🤣 After all was said and done, he asked me out on a date and I said yes!

Our First Date

Skyler took us out for dinner and the movies.We went to Granite City for dinner.We had extra time between dinner and the movie.So we cruised O street for a little bit and then went and parked in the downtown parking garage to go see the new Fast And Furious movie. Later that night he asked me to be his girlfriend, and of course the rest is history!

Dress Attire

Casual. To Accommodate the Groom’s wishes, we ask that it is black casual attire. The Bride would love to be the only one in white and to stand out! Please also remember that Nebraska is unpredictable in weather. The ceremony and reception is inside/outside. We want everyone to be comfortable during the wedding festivities!

Alcohol

We are doing a BYOB style wedding! please bring your favorite cold beverage. There will be no bar or alcohol vendor. If bringing a beverage, both the Bride and Groom ask that you have a RESPONSIBLE and ALCOHOL-FREE driver planned. We want everyone to have a FUN and SAFE night of making memories.
