It was a cold, dark, pandemic winter when San Francisco was on lockdown again. During this time Haley was living in her studio apartment missing human interaction and chatting with strangers on the internet. Ben popped up one day with his shirtless frat boy pictures which Haley disliked but decided to see if it was a match due to the beard and height. Ben had just adopted Rufus and the two quickly bonded over his adorable face. Ben, Haley, and Rufus went on their first hiking date in the Presidio which ended with a kiss while they all were shivering in the dark, cold park. The three became inseparable shortly after and the rest is history. Eventually they were able to have a proper date at a restaurant when outdoor dining became a thing. They took advantage of the massive city exodus and found their perfect top floor apartment in North Beach directly below Coit Tower. A month-long adventure in Alaska hanging out with the moose and eating cup of noodles really solidified for the two that they were meant for each other. One year after Alaska while on a trip to Europe, Ben convinced Haley to wake up early on holiday to go to the Eiffel Tower before the crowds. It was then that Ben proposed and began the two year process of planning their wedding.
