Our story began when we met on September 7, 2019 at a UF Tailgate. Ryan struck up a conversation with Haley about Tommy John surgeries as she was an athletic trainer and he had been a baseball player who underwent this surgery himself.

They threw a football around and Ryan tried to impress Haley by attempting to catch the ball she threw over his head and almost got hit by a car!

It wasn't until the end of the football season at the Florida v. Florida State tailgate that they reconnected as Ryan lived in Gainesville and Haley in Orlando.

Ryan and Haley went on their first date in January of 2020, where Ryan told her he was going to marry her one day. He asked her to be his girlfriend and she said yes but then broke up with him over a text that same night...whoops! She wasn't sure about being a girlfriend after only one date!

They navigated dating through COVID and Haley getting her doctorate. But Ryan was always there to keep encouraging her through the challenges of that tough adventure.

Ryan is attracted to Haley's nerdiness, love for life, & selflessness. He admires her work ethic and passion for serving others.

Haley admires Ryan's for his ability to always see the positive in things and know that it will always "be alright in the morning." He keeps her laughing and always on her toes.

Ryan never knew Haley outside of being a doctorate student. But as soon as she graduated, he didn't waste a minute of time. Ryan proposed to Haley on May 20, 2023 in front of all of our closest family and friends. He even surprised her with having her best friends from Missouri come in to town.

Ryan and Haley have weathered a lot of ups and downs, but have always been there for each other and helped each other change and grow. We are so excited to have all of our loved ones join us for the celebration of our love and future together on our big day.
