Having first met in middle school and fell out of contact after high school, Christopher and Haley had a chance reunion when both began working at a middle school in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic. Seeing they had many nerdy and creative hobbies in common, the two began meeting for coffee and eventually made their relationship official on September 11, 2020.

In 2021, Chris and Haley began what would become a long-standing tradition of traveling to the Saturday Market in St. Petersburg. As they walked through the stalls, they found artisan pastas, quiches, fresh flowers, cheeses, and many other delicious additions to their pantry. Each trip was a fresh opportunity to gather new cooking inspiration and grow even closer over a croissant and a chai latte.

Through many games of Magic: The Gathering, many delicious meals cooked side-by-side, and many hours spent discussing the silly decisions made by middle schoolers, Chris and Haley moved in to their first apartment together. Here, they began forming a life together, full of ballads sung to their beloved cat, Indy, and the filtering of afternoon sunshine through the wide front window.

In the summer of 2021, the pair embarked on their first adventure in St. Augustine! This historic city would become a near-endless source of treasured memories for the two, from feeding "Big Tubba" the koi in the pond at the Lightner Museum, to having waterside dinners at Harry's. Wandering through the cobbled streets, the couple fell in love with the quaint architecture and meandering roads by day, and settled down to enjoy card games and local chocolates by night.

Chris and Haley regularly cheered on the Tampa Bay Rays and Tampa Bay Lightning (their favorite teams) by attending games over the years!

Just a little over a week before Halloween in 2022, the pair welcomed a new member into their family: Nissa Bean! Her original home having been affected by Hurricane Ian, she ended up in the loving arms of her new family (and on their counters, sniffing around for any food to steal and run off with!) Her reign of terror began immediately, as she stole entire chicken cutlets, took over all available blankets, and chased her tail in circles every night to prevent her family from sleeping.

On what was believed to be a "nature walk," Chris and Haley embarked, along with Chris' brother, Glenn, and sister-in-law, Brittany, on a hike to Snow Lake in the Cascades of Washington. The group trekked through rocky, evergreen-lined paths and across streams formed by waterfalls to reach the summit of Mt. Baker. After what amounted to an extremely challenging hike (for two Florida-dwellers), the group soaked in the spectacular view and misting rain at the summit. After gathering his breath, Chris went down on one knee to ask Haley to become his lifelong partner in all future adventures through life. Needless to say, she said "yes!"

The Murawski-Vaughan household added another member; this time, it was a kitten named Mocha. Little Mocha immediately got to work burrowing her way into every available lap, working overtime to make biscuits, and joining (obstructing) her mom during every yoga session. She quickly became bonded with her older sister, Nissa, and the two began to spend their nights cuddled up together on the couch.
