Troy and I met through the dating app Bumble. We knew of each other through our mutual friends Kiley & Marty Green, and had both worked at the same Hy-Vee in college. Troy worked at the bank, and I worked in the store. He claims his first memory of me was "watching you look miserable while moving pallets"...how special!

We went on our first date on December, 12th 2020. We went to dinner at the Iowa Taproom and then walked over to Up Down for some games and beers. After the date, I drove Troy home and he asked me if he had earned my phone number - of course he did! I gave him my number and then headed home. I thought it was weird I hadn't heard from him... It wasn't until a few hours later I noticed he had sent the sweetest text, but since I was driving when he sent it, I had missed it. I was for sure I blew it by not responding but luckily he didn't give up on me :)

We went on many brewery dates and had fun getting to know each other while trying new restaurants in DSM those first few months of dating. Fast forward to October 2021 and we brought home "Troy's" puppy, Barley. We quickly realized that I had convinced Troy to buy me a puppy, rather than Troy buy himself a puppy lol. Although it wasn't easy, we had so much fun and created so many special memories as first time puppy parents together.

We got our first place together in June of 2022 in Ankeny, IA. Living with the cats was a big adjustment for Troy, but I know he secretly loves them even if he does refer to them as his "roommates." That November I talked Troy into another puppy, and we were bringing Miller home the next day. Four animals and two humans in a two bedroom townhouse was definitely a lot, but we had a great first year living together.

Fast forward to Summer of 2023 - we started shopping for a home! After a couple of let downs, we finally found the perfect first home for us and our zoo. Troy proposed on our closing day, and I had never been so suprised in my life. We survived our first day as fiancé's moving into our first home on the hottest day of the year... and I'd like to believe if we can do that, we can do anything together :')

We are so excited for this next chapter and to become the Hamiltons. We are so so so thankful to our families and friends for being a part of our story and wedding day. We can't wait to celebrate with you all!! <3
