To begin this story of how Haley and Clayton met, we must start with the story of another relationship: The friendship between Macey and Haley. Without her, this probably would've never happened. This began in the fall of 2017, when Haley had just begun her freshmen year at Purdue. Haley had met Macey in her BGR group where they quickly became friends. Luckily for Haley, Macey was very extraverted and made a lot of friends. This is where she found Clayton. Macey was looking for someone to eat dinner with during BGR and noticed a guy in a bright orange shirt standing alone. So, this was where they became friends. Macey introduced Haley to Clayton one day when they all decided to play soccer together. Clayton almost kicked the ball in Haley's face a few times (probably intentionally). So this is where thir story began: Haley and Clayton would keep running into each other in the dining courts at Purdue and eventually started dating. Their first date consisted of brunch at Town & Gown Bistro. Fun Fact: Haley and Clayton have never agreed on what their actual dating anniversary was (one thinks it was October 16th, the other thinks October 18, luckily this wedding date will be easier!!). Their relationship has consisted of many moments up at Purdue, traveling, hiking, and moving Clayton EVERYWHERE. Clayton asked Haley to marry him on January 1st 2024 at a Wildlife Refuge where they almost got attacked by an alligator and feral pigs. They are so excited to celebrate this new chapter with their closest family and friends, and are grateful to everyone who made this possible!
