We Wish We Could All Be Together

When we began planning our wedding in 2019, we hoped to have all of our friends and family attend a large celebration. We never expected that the world would be hit with a pandemic. Still, in 2020, we generally assumed that large gatherings would be safe by May 2021.

However, it appears that large gatherings will not be safe until some time after our wedding date. Therefore, in order to ensure the safety of those we hold dear, we decided to reduce the size of our celebration.

We hope that this website allows us to virtually celebrate our relationship with everyone!

How We Met & Our First Date

We met on a dating website in September 2016. Bryce was working in Gresham and Haley was in her first semester of law school in Eugene. Bryce messaged Haley first, giving her cute tidbits of his life and asking polite and thoughtful questions. It was obvious that he had combed through her profile beforehand.

After messaging for a week, they began speaking on the phone every night for almost a month. Finally, Haley took a bus from Eugene to Portland for their first date.

The plan was for Bryce to pick up Haley at her parents' house, and from there they'd go to dinner. Bryce was worried about arriving late, so he gave himself plenty of time for his drive. However, this ended with Bryce arriving in front of Haley's parents' house 45 minutes early for their date. Because he didn't want to look like a weirdo, Bryce left, parked a street away, and played on his phone until Haley texted him saying she had finally arrived home from her bus trip.

Bryce gallantly arrived in his ruby red hatchback and whisked Haley away to a Sharis restaurant. There, Bryce proceeded to quietly enjoy french toast while Haley did most of the talking. Afterwards, Haley and Bryce walked to a nearby Fred Meyer. They strolled throughout the store, spending most of their time in the Made-for-TV section. Bryce then drove Haley home.

After the success of this first date, Bryce returned to take Haley out again the very next morning. Their second date was over 12 hours long and the third one has yet to end.
