Attire is cocktail. Men are asked to wear a suit and tie. Woman are asked to wear semi-formal dresses or equivalent (tea- or knee- length dresses). Please no sandals or shorts.
Will there be a wedding ceremony?
Haley and Joey will be exchanging private vows followed by a small wedding ceremony and reception at the Hui.
Is there a wedding party?
There is no wedding party. The wedding is going to be small and intimate, with around 25 guests. The bride and groom are happy knowing that all the people special to them will be there celebrating together.
Is the wedding outdoors?
The wedding and reception will have both indoor and outdoor options available for guests. There will be umbrellas available for shade.
Where can I park?
There is plenty of parking available onsite at the venue. The Hui does not provide transportation services. Guests will need to arrange rides independently to the venue. Rideshare apps, such as Uber, are available on Maui for those not planning on renting a vehicle.
Will there be food and drinks?
There will be lunch featuring local foods available at the reception. While there will be champagne available for toasts, the couple is hosting a dry wedding. A local Hawaiian drink will be available in lieu of alcohol.
Is there a wedding registry?
Haley and Joey are requesting wedding gifts in the form of cash donations to contribute to various experiences to make their honeymoon special. You may donate money directly on the wedding website funds. However, there is a 2.5% fee for donating via the website. If you would like to donate directly to Haley and Joey, please send money via Venmo (@haleswilcox; @joey-moser) or a check by mail.
How long should I stay in Maui?
The bride and groom will be on the island 5 days. They will be arriving 3 days prior to the wedding and staying a few days after as well.
Where should I stay?
Guests are encouraged to stay at accommodations which best suite their vacation style preferences. There is no designated hotel for guests. The wedding is located in Makawao, which is upcountry Maui, beginning on the road to Hana. While this location is not directly on the beaches, it is accessible from most locations on the island with a 30 minute drive.
Is there a wedding day itinerary?
Guests should plan to be at the Hui from 10:00 am - 3:00 pm. Guests are asked to arrive at 10:00 am to be seated for the 10:30 am wedding ceremony. Lunch will be served from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm, followed by an art experience from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm.
