Our Wedding

Our love story began on a chilly Saturday in March 2022, at a place neither of us expected—The Draft Room. Hali walked in with a friend, looking for a cozy spot to grab a drink, and there was Joe, behind the bar. Although our conversation was brief, there was something special in the air. Hali couldn’t stop talking about the charming bartender to her friends, even declaring, "I found my husband tonight." Little did she know, Joe was just as intrigued.&nbsp; When Hali asked for a Moscow Mule, Joe, not one to disappoint, quickly Googled the recipe and made it on the spot. The drink was perfect, and though our interaction was limited, Hali felt a strange but undeniable connection. She left her phone number on the receipt, trusting her instinct—and it led us to where we are now. Our first date was nothing short of romantic. We went to Panorama, a place that now holds a special place in our hearts. Hali was late, having gotten lost on the way, but it only added to the charm of the evening. We shared appetizers, sipped on mojitos, and spent hours talking about everything from our favorite shows to life itself. Joe walked Hali back to her car, and we continued our conversation with music playing in the background. It was the perfect first date. Hali knew she was falling in love when Joe brought home a Sabres clock for her dad’s basement collection. It was such a thoughtful gesture, and it showed how much Joe cared not just about her, but about her family as well. Joe says he knew he was in love with Hali "too quickly," but sometimes, love doesn't follow a timeline. After almost three wonderful years together, our favorite memory is without a doubt the birth of our son, Weston. He made us a family, and he brought us closer than we ever could have imagined. Weston has filled our lives with joy, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Joe’s proposal was a complete surprise. Hali thought she was attending an event at Knox Farms while Joe had taken Weston to his family's for the day. As she wandered around Knox Farms, she spotted Joe and Weston. Before she knew it, Joe was down on one knee, asking if she would take their last name. It was a perfect moment, one we'll cherish forever. Our relationship is built on shared interests and hobbies—whether it's watching movies, playing with our dogs, going on car rides while listening to music, shopping, or dining out. We love to laugh together, and those little moments make our bond even stronger. What we love most about each other is how we make each other feel. Hali loves Joe's big heart and how he’s always willing to go the extra mile for anyone. She admires how amazing a father and partner he is. Joe, on the other hand, loves how easy it is to see and feel Hali’s love for him. He adores her sense of humor and her beauty, both inside and out. And that's our story—a story of love, surprises, and the beautiful journey that brought us to this moment. We can't wait to see what the future holds as we continue to write our story together.

We’ve decided to keep our wedding day simple and intimate, with just the two of us standing at the altar. This decision wasn't easy, as we love so many people and couldn't imagine choosing who would stand by our side. We also wanted to ensure that our wedding day is as stress-free, relaxing, and peaceful as possible for everyone. By not having a traditional wedding party, we hope to create an atmosphere where all of our guests can simply enjoy the celebration with us, without any added responsibilities or pressure.
