The dress code is casual! Since our ceremony will be held outdoors, with the reception under a tent in the evening, we would like everyone to dress comfortably for the occasion. It will be slightly chilly after the sun goes down at the reception, so we recommend bringing a jacket, sweater, or shawl.

The wedding will be located on the LeQuire family estate that has been passed down through the generations to the Waters family (through Halle's great-grandfather, Gene LeQuire). Gene's parents, Milton and Ruby LeQuire, purchased this land with money that the government gave them due to eminent domain when they had to leave their home in Cades Cove in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

In the case of a storm or heavy rain, we will have the wedding on the following day, Sunday, October 13, at 5pm. We will send messages if this decision is made, and an update will be made on this website. We want everyone to be aware beforehand so you can plan accordingly, just in case!

There will be plenty of parking on the property with multiple signs and people to direct you.

For out-of-town guests, we suggest a few locations for overnight stay. Knoxville Airport Hilton & Alcoa/Knoxville Quality Inn are 15 minutes from the wedding location in Maryville. Maryville is nestled in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains and offers many quaint airbnbs, including Cooper's Nest at Butterfly Gap, which you can find online by searching for airbnbs in the Maryville area. There are also multiple airbnbs and inns in Townsend, TN (the peaceful side of the Smokies) that would be great to choose from. Townsend is 25 minutes from the wedding location. Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg are 45 minutes to an hour away, if you are interested in visiting those areas.
