The short version that we tell people how we met is just that we live 4 houses apart… but there’s a lot more to it than that!

Halley and Kai first officially met in the winter of 2018 when Kai’s family moved in right down the street. Our neighborhood had a pretty solid group of people who would all play night games together. The summer of 2019 Kai and his brother Makaio started to join us in our little nightly adventures.

Throughout Jr High and High school they didn't hangout at all besides going to mutual and seeing each other occasionally through friends of friends. Kai says he always had a thing for Halley, but never thought he had a chance!

At the end of their Jr year of High school, Halley's dad suggested inviting Kai to go to mission prep with her. Halley usually would ride with one of her brothers friends (Ethan) to mission prep so Kai just came along with them that Sunday. On the drive home the 3 of them had a conversation about one of Halley's recent breakups. So, the boys decided we would all go to her ex's house that night and play a prank.

Ever since that night, Halley and Kai were inseparable. They hung out almost everyday after and became best friends. Going on dates, staying up till 3 am just talking and getting to know each other.

After talking and hanging out for about 4 months, Kai finally asked Halley to be his girlfriend. Throughout getting to know each other Halley fell in love with Kai of course but especially his family! They have both became so close with each others families and are so grateful to be blessed with such amazing examples in their lives!

Halley and Kai got engaged on December 7, 2024!
