FAQs
For all our friends and family who have lots of questions, please check out the following FAQs before reaching out to us.
Where are you registered?
We have an Amazon wedding registry that can be found on the registry tab of this website.
When is the RSVP deadline?
Please RSVP by September 1st, so we can have an accurate headcount. :)
What will be served for dinner?
We will have a taco bar that will hopefully meet everyone's dietary needs. Please let us know if you have any questions about the food that will be provided.
What beverages will be available?
We will have a full cash bar. There will also be two hosted beer kegs as well as complimentary non-alcoholic beverage options.
I am coming from out of town. Where should I stay?
There is a campground located at the venue. If you prefer a hotel, we have a block of rooms reserved at the Best Western in Fairmont. See the Accommodations page for more details.
Is there transportation being provided between the venue and hotel?
There will be a shuttle bus between the venue and Best Western hotel.
Best Western pick-up times: 4:00pm & 4:30pm
Flying Goose pick-up times: 10:00pm, 10:30pm, 11:00pm, 11:30pm, 12:00am
Can I bring a date?
Of course! Just make sure to include them in your RSVP.
Are children welcome?
We respectfully request no children under age 13 at our wedding reception. We hope you understand and can still join us on our special day. The only exception is for immediate family members of the couple (i.e. our sisters' kids). If this is not possible, reach out to the couple to discuss other options.
Are dogs allowed?
Dogs are allowed in the campground, but not at the reception venue. Dogs must be leashed at all times.
What time should I arrive?
If you are invited to the ceremony, please arrive no earlier than 4pm and the ceremony will begin at 4:30pm.
If you are invited to just the reception, please arrive anytime between 5-6pm. Cocktail hour begins at 5pm and dinner will begin at 6pm.
Where should I park?
If you are not staying at the campground, there will be additional parking available.
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
Our wedding ceremony is outdoors, but our reception will be indoors.
Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?
During the ceremony we ask that no one use their phones for any reason. During the reception please feel free to take as many pictures as you'd like!
Are the ceremony and reception locations wheelchair accessible?
Yes, however, be aware that the venue is at a campground so some of the ground might be uneven.
What will the weather be like?
We are hoping for mild weather, not too hot, not too cold. However, it is fall in Minnesota so be prepared for sunshine, rain, or even snow. The ceremony will be outdoors and the reception will be in a pole barn-like building without A/C or heat.
What should I wear?
Dress is casual to business casual. We want everyone to feel comfortable so wear what you feel is appropriate.
What kind of shoes should/shouldn't I wear?
If you are invited to the ceremony, be aware that it will be in a grassy area where heals can potentially sink into the ground. Otherwise, wear what you feel comfortable in.
Whom should I contact with questions?
If you have a question before the week leading up to the wedding, you can call or text Hallie at 605-517-3172. If you have questions during the week leading up to the wedding, please contact Mara, the maid of honor, at 507-822-2404.
