Is there a dress code?
The dress-code for the event is semi-formal. We hope to have the ceremony outside, weather permitting. Your comfort is the most important thing so please keep that in mind when deciding what to wear. There will not be a coat check at the reception, but all seating will be chairs with backs to hang your coats/jackets on!
What time should I arrive?
Our ceremony will start at 3pm. Please keep in mind Matilda's Event Barn is on CENTRAL TIME, so this would be an hour ahead for our eastern time zone friends. The doors to the ceremony will open 30 minutes prior to the event. We please ask that guests arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony to ensure you are settled before the proceedings.
Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception be indoors or outdoors?
Matilda's has a beautiful hilltop ceremony site outdoors we hope to use if the weather allows. If we are having an unusually warm day, we may also opt to have cocktail hour outside on the barns patio. The reception will take place inside the barn which has heated floors. The barn is also a beautiful place for the ceremony and cocktail hour if weather isn't the best that day.
How do I get to venue? Where do I park at the venue?
Matilda's has a sectioned off parking area specifically for guests. This is a grass lot, it is well lit at night but please do watch your footing! We will not be offering transportation to the wedding since all festivities are occurring at one location. Guests that are drinking alcohol are welcome (and strongly encouraged) to leave their vehicles overnight, as long as they return to the venue by 11am the next morning to pick it up.
Can I bring my kids?
While Jackson and I both love kids, we unfortunately could only invite children of close family and friends. When searching our website for your invite you will see the specific names of those with invitations in your party!
When and how should I RSVP?
The RSVP deadline is October 16th. We will be using our website here on The Knot to collect RSVPs. Hit the RSVP link on our website, type in your name, and everyone's name in your party will pop up to accept or decline. We are using this format to keep track of specific names of each guest in attendance as we will be having a seating chart at the wedding. If you are having a hard time submitting your RSVP through the website, feel free to reach out to me or Jackson directly!
Can I bring a plus-one?
Unfortunately, we only have the space to accommodate those who are listed on the guest list. Our wedding will be strictly RSVP only, and only those who accept their invitation will be included on seating chart and in food/drink count.
Where are you registered?
