Our story started on September 26, 2024, at a Gavin Adcock concert at Hal & Mal’s in Jackson, Mississippi. What was supposed to be a simple girls’ night out turned into the beginning of our story when Mason spotted me at the bar. First- he asked how a pretty girl like me was buying my own drinks. He then asked for my phone number, ended up paying my tab, and thought he had made a pretty good impression. Unfortunately for him, I didn’t text him back, add him on social media, or really acknowledge his existence afterward. Whoops!!!

Fast forward to February 13, 2025. We unexpectedly ran into each other again at the Dixie National Rodeo in Jackson, where Zach Top was performing. Mason offered to buy me a beer, and I suddenly realized he was the same guy I had completely ignored months earlier. Thankfully, he gave me a second chance.

When Zach Top took the stage, Mason looked at me and asked, “Can I take your hand for this dance?” I laughed and said “I don’t dance”, then proceeded to dance. From that moment on, everything just felt easy. We talked, laughed, and connected like we’d known each other our whole lives.

The funny thing is, we had several mutual friends and had likely crossed paths before, but somehow never actually met. Looking back now, we truly believe our paths didn’t cross until the timing was right and it was meant to be.

We spent the next three months getting to know each other before officially dating on May 10, 2025. It didn’t take long for us to realize what we had was special. Just a few months later, we were already talking about marriage, and deep down, I knew he was the one.

On December 7, 2025, Mason asked me to marry him, and of course, I said yes! Now, we’re counting down the days until November 7, 2026, when we get to say “I do” and begin our forever together.

What started with a missed opportunity, a second chance, and a dance at a rodeo turned into the greatest love story we could have imagined. We are so grateful for every twist, turn, and perfectly timed moment that led us to each other. We can’t wait to celebrate the next chapter of our story with all of our favorite people by our side.
