Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?
Yes we do! The hotel is Home2 Suites and if you would like to have a room there, please contact Tom Hinshaw at (317) 374-8378 as soon as possible.
What should I wear? Is there a dress code?
The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire.
Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?
The ceremony and reception take place at the same location, The Mavris Arts & Events Center. 121 S East St, Indianapolis, IN 46202
Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?
The ceremony and reception will be indoors, but there are opportunities to go outdoors for the cocktail hour.
What happens after the ceremony?
After the ceremony, the bridal party will be taking pictures nearby for around an hour. Guests can head straight to the cocktail hour area where we will be serving finger foods and beverages.
What should I do if I can’t make it
You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.
What time should I arrive?
We recommend that you arrive a 1/2 an hour before the start of the ceremony, to make sure everyone is on time and we can get the party started as scheduled!
Where should guests park? Is parking free?
The parking lot is located just north of the venue on the southeast corner of East Street and Washington Street it is free and you can leave your car over night.
Are kids welcome?
While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.
The only exception is the ring bearer and the flower girls.
Can I bring a date?
We have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.
Will food and drinks be served at the reception? What kind of food?
We are having a beer and wine bar with a cash bar for liquor. For food, there is a chicken option and a vegetarian option to choose from.
Will transportation be provided between to/from the hotel?
There will not be any transportation provided, but Ubers and Lyfts are very available in downtown Indy.
Can I take pictures and/or videos during the ceremony?
We are kindly asking to put away and turn off your cell phones during our ceremony. We have hired a photographer and videographer to capture our special moment. As for the reception, please take as many videos and pictures as you would like and feel free to post them to social media!
