Our Wedding

Summer 2013: Hanna and Yoon first met each other during summer school gym (through their bridesmaid Jaclyn Pabalan!) and quickly became best friends. Fall Homecoming 2013: Yoon asked Hanna to be his date to their first homecoming dance, but Hanna made sure to let him know that they were going as just friends. Spring 2015: It wasn't until their orchestra trip to Chattanooga that they realized their feelings for each other were mutual, and then they started having a "thing" (basically going on dates but not calling each other boyfriend/girlfriend). Fall 2015: Per Yoon, Hanna broke his heart by calling it off because she felt the "relationship" wasn't going anywhere. They still continued to be friends after that, however. Spring 2017: Fast forward to another orchestra trip! Hanna and Yoon realized that neither of them had fully gotten over each other throughout the months/years, and this time, they started officially dating! September 2017 - May 2021: Hanna and Yoon managed to power through 4 years of long distance through college. Lots of facetime calls, Spirit flights, and prioritizing each other! June 2021 - June 2022: As Hanna accepted her first nursing job at Emory, they had to endure another year of long distance. This was made easier with Hanna's flexible work schedule, so they were able to see each other about once a month. July 24, 2022: Yoon proposed! He made it so special by having friends drive or fly in just to surprise Hanna. September 2022 - Present: Hanna moved back to Troy, Michigan to be with Yoon. Everyday, they are so grateful to be able to be together and never want to do long distance again. July 20, 2025: We're finally getting married!!

Detroit Metro Airport (DTW)

Detroit, MI 48242, USA(734) 247-7678 We recommend flying into DTW if you are coming from out of state.It is about a 50 minute drive to our venue, but the airport has frequent direct flights from all states. DTW is also about 30-50 minutes away from things to do in the metro-Detroit area.

Transportation

The most convenient way to travel in Michigan is by car, so we recommend renting a car or using Uber. There are many rental car services located in DTW, such as Enterprise, Hertz, Avis, and more. Please feel free to reach out to us if you would like help coordinating rides!

Hotel

If you would like to stay where we're from (which is a bit closer to good restaurants, Detroit, and the airport), we also recommend the Hilton Garden Inn in Troy. This hotel, however, is about a 20 minute drive from our venue.
