Although Hanna does not like to admit this, our story began through the online dating app, Hinge. Hanna had super-liked Ben, and naturally, Ben made the first move with a sweet compliment. After some back-and-forth conversation, Hanna agreed to meet Ben at Lincoln's famous breakfast restaurant, Good Evans. 


Approximately one year after dating, January 2024 had come. It had been heavily snowing for multiple days, making it impossible for out-of-town friends & family to attend an engagement celebration as Ben had intended. Nonetheless, he was determined to make Hanna his fiancé, and the plan had always been to do this in private rather than public. On January 11th, Ben made Hanna her favorite homemade meal, honey sriracha salmon on a bed of jasmine rice. Although this dinner, unlike others, was served with a Moscow Mule out of a custom cup saying "The Modrells," which served as a transition into Ben getting on one knee and asking the once in a lifetime question.
