What should i wear? Is there a dress code?

Cocktail party and festive dress with autumn color attire is suggested (links below for explanation).

Please avoid white/cream and black.

We recommend:

Dressing for warmish weather but still bringing a layer or jacket.

Wear flats, not heels, for walking in our yard.

No skirts/dresses that touch the ground

Note that this event is outdoors and at a higher elevation so the weather could go many directions. Ideally it's warm with the last bits of golden summer light but it's not a guarantee. It might be 75 or it might be 50, or both.

chocolate chip cookies! We're serious about that. We want to have a ton of chocolate chip cookies at this party. Make 'em, buy 'em, or best of all steal 'em. Just get them here.

Where do we go upon arrival?

Park along the driveway at an angle. There's room for lots of cars but if the driveway is full, park on the grass at an angle along the road in front of the house (being sure not to block the road). Make your way to the general area in front of the house, have some refreshments, mingle, and relax.

what sorts of festivities will there be?

Once dinner is handled we're kicking off the dance floor with some of the best karaoke this side of the Columbia. Have your torch songs ready and steal all the attention you can. Besides that, expect surprise performances from top notch talent, occasional guitar sing alongs, plenty of dancing, and all kinds of other cute bits.

You're also welcome to find a comfortable seat and quietly enjoy the evening.

Should i be concerned about hill people?

We do live amongst woods and at higher elevation so yes, the threat of encountering hill people is very real. They will almost certainly smell the food and be attracted by the sounds of prey. If any are spotted, just alert the hosts and we will release the hounds.
