Wedding & Venue

What are the wedding colors?

Blush, champagne, ivory, and sage

What should I wear?

For women, we might recommend wearing a dress, jumpsuit, or dressier skirt and blouse - any color, with the exception of white or ivory, would be so appreciated! For men, you can’t go wrong with a button-up dress shirt and slacks. Don’t be afraid to bust out your cowboy/girl boots!

Are the ceremony and reception at the same location?

Yes!

Is the wedding indoor or outdoor?

A little bit of both, but primarily indoors! While Texas heat can get a little bit crazy, the ceremony and reception will both have A/C to keep you cool. The cocktail hour is the only portion of the evening that will be held in the outdoor courtyard for one hour, but there will be plenty of shade to keep you comfortable and cold refreshments to keep you hydrated! It will also be later in the evening, close to sundown.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

The ceremony will begin promptly at 5:30, so we recommend arriving between 5:00 and 5:15 so you have plenty of time to arrive and grab your seat!

Will there be parking available at the venue?

Yes! Please follow the signage when you get to the venue.

Travel & Logistics

What is the best airport to fly in to?

Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS).

Should I uber or rent a car if I’m flying in?

Our recommendation might be to consider renting a car for the weekend. One-way Ubers from the airport to recommended hotels range between $90-110. A two-day car rental through common car rental agencies, such as Enterprise, start at around $65 per day. With that said, please choose the option you are most comfortable with!

Can I Uber to and from the venue?

You might be able to snag an Uber to the venue; however, Ubers do not pick-up from the venue - primarily due to unavailability within the small town of Lampasas. Transportation will be provided to guests to help get you to and from the celebration!

Accommodations

Do any hotels have a room block for guests?

Yes! The Comfort Inn, listed under recommended hotels below, has a block of rooms set aside for our guests. To book under our the hotel block, call 512-756-1789 and the hotel will assist you with booking! (Be sure to call - if you try and book online, it will appear like the hotel is full but that's just our block!) Just let them know you'll be in town for the Giske Wedding.

Are there other places nearby where I can stay?

Yes! Check-out the 'Travel' tab for a list of ideas. Additionally, there are AirBnBs available to rent in and around Lampasas - including homes, yurts, glamping tents, and cabins!

Guest Transporation

Will there be transportation provided to and from the venue?

Yes! There will be a 40-person shuttle and 10-person shuttle van available for pick-up and drop-off to and from the venue for the evening. There will be specific time-slots available for pick-up/drop-off before the ceremony, and 2 specific time-slots available for pick-up/drop-off after the reception at the end of the evening. The 10-person sprinter van will be available at the top of the hour throughout the reception in case you need to leave earlier in the evening.

What time will the shuttle pick guests up to go to the ceremony?

The shuttles will arrive at the hotel by 4:15 to begin loading guests. The shuttles will leave promptly at 4:30 to head to the ceremony. Note that this is the only pick-up time available, so please plan accordingly! There is parking at the ceremony if needed.

Where will the shuttle pick guests up to go to the ceremony?

The Comfort Inn & Suites at 810 S Water St, Burnet, TX 78611.

What time will the shuttle take guests home from the reception?

Two time slots will be available for guest pick-up and drop-off to the Comfort Inn & Suites after the reception concludes. The first shuttle will leave at 10:15pm and the second shuttle will leave at 11:00pm.

Where will the shuttle pick guests up at the end of the evening?

Shuttles will pick-up guests in the entry way drive to transport guests home safely.

Food & Drinks

What will there be to eat?

Plenty of good ole Texas BBQ - so come ready to eat! For cocktail hour in the courtyard, there will be passed appetizer options of Tequila Lime Grilled Shrimp, Brisket Barbacoa Tostadas, and Caprese Skewers. (Mouth watering yet?!) For dinner, we will be serving Post Oak Smoked Beef Brisket and Lemon Pepper Glazed Chicken with side options of mac and cheese, baked potato casserole, and cole slaw. Later in the evening, a late night snack bar will open up and feature a homemade cobbler bar (peach and cherry cobbler with Amy's Mexican Vanilla ice cream) and a S'mores Station.

What will there be to drink?

We'll be serving a wide range of both non-alcoholic and alcoholic options throughout the evening! Non-alcoholic options will include iced tea, lemonade, water, and coffee - as well as a specialty mocktail. Alcoholic options will include champagne, red and white wine options, beer options, and 2 of our favorite cocktails - Moscow Mules and Whiskey Sours!

Will there be an open bar?

Yes! The bar will open up during cocktail hour and remain open throughout the reception. Keep an eye out for our very special (furry) guest servers serving beers during cocktail hour...

Guests & RSVPs

Are children allowed to attend?

Yes! We are excited for the little ones to join in on the fun.

When are RSVPs due?

April 18, 2024. If you need help submitting your RSVP, please get in touch with Hanna or Jordan and they'd be happy to help!

Can I bring a plus one - date or guest - to the wedding?

Unfortunately, due to budget and space limitations, we aren't able to offer for all of our lovely guests to bring a guest of their own. Therefore, we regretfully request our guests to please not bring a plus one, unless they are specifically named on the invitation. Thank you so much for understanding!
