Brandon met Hannah at CU Boulder during a class they shared. They kicked it off strong and began to go on dates slowly getting to know each other. On December 27, 2014, Brandon took Hannah to see Zoo Lights and asked her to be his girlfriend. That started the college romance--Brandon a junior and Hannah a sophomore. Both unsure of where college would take them, but both sure that they would do it together.
Hannah decided during her junior year that she was going to pursue nursing school, and around the same time, Brandon decided he was going to become an Officer in the United States Army. In February 2017, Brandon went off to basic training and while he was gone, Hannah found out that she got accepted into nursing school. This was the beginning of the distance portion of their relationship. Hannah would go to see him or he would come to see her as much as they possibly could, which usually was about every 2 months. Otherwise, they would resort to text, call, and Facetime as their means of communication.
For their third anniversary of being together, Brandon came home to Colorado and they went up to Estes Park to stay in a cabin and celebrate. One of the nights while they were up there, they made reservations at a nice restaurant where they had champagne, great food, and truffles as dessert. Afterwards, they went back to the cabin where Brandon began to voice his love for Hannah, which she thought was him just being extra nice and loving. Then he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. Hannah got teary-eyed with a big smile, and of course, said yes.
Dinner will be a buffet style. We are currently food tasting and we'll post our buffet of choice when we have decided. When RSVPing leave a note if there are any food allergies or require special diet accommodations.
