We were hiking in the fall not long after we started dating.

After a sudden career change, we used a portion of our savings to travel to Hawaii for much needed R&R, staying with Hannah's friend Chris. Thanks Chris!

For a while we were homeless, but wanted to stay together, determined not to be a millennial trope (mid-thirties living in our parents' basement). We stayed with our friend Zach for a few months, and he even accommodated our fur-baby Luna! Thanks Zach!

We both love DIY, crafts, and traveling, so we went to the Thurmont Craft Festival together to enjoy the sights and sounds.

We dressed up as Kirk and Spock for a Halloween party with some of Hannah's friends in downtown DC! :D

After Hannah got her new job, we started touring apartments in Silver Spring with metro-access to Hannah's job. This is the day we toured the Cameron.

We moved into a one-room apartment (a studio of 475 sq. ft.). In the first three months, we got a lot of quality one-on-one time as Hannah worked from home and Tara worked as a stay-at-home dog mom and sent out job applications for openings in the area. Some friends helped us move in: Damian, Wally, and Luna too! Thanks everyone! (And others not pictured, I think...).

We set up our little home, saving space by using roll-up mat beds and limited furniture. It was cozy. :) Short little Luna enjoyed the ground-beds the most, since they were easily accessible. She slept on Tara's pillow almost every day.
