What should I wear?
Dress in your western best! Boots and jeans or whatever you feel comfortable in. Our wedding colours are more rustic, you will see blush pink, terracotta, oranges, reds and some sage green. Please avoid white.
Can I bring a plus one?
Our wedding will be intimate to enjoy with our closest family and friends. At this time we are not extending plus ones. If your partner is invited their name is included on your invitation!
Can I take pictures or video during the ceremony?
Our ceremony will be "unplugged" to ensure that everyone is fully present during our special day. We will have a hired photographer and will be more than happy to send you any requested photos! Feel free to take as many as you would like during our reception.
Can I bring my kids?
Our wedding will be adults only with the exception of a few kids. Take this day to enjoy some you time! Your kid's names will be on the invitation if they are invited :)
Can I smoke on the grounds?
There will be a designated smoking area for cigarettes only on the grounds, but any use of marijuana is strictly prohibited as per the grounds rules and can result in loss of the fish and game club membership so we ask that you walk past the yellow gate to smoke your joints! Please also be considerate of the fact that we will be in the middle of wildfire season.
How do I get there?
We will be on the Courtenay side of Comox Lake, here are directions right from the Fish and Game Club website:

*Turn Left at the stop sign (you'll see a small sign on the post across the road indicating the Fish & Game Club to the left)
*Continue on this logging road for about 3 km (you will continue straight through one intersection on the hill)
*At the next intersection, you will see the large yellow gate with the Courtenay & District Fish & Game sign.
*Turn left through the gate
*You will see the entrance to the Archery venue on your left about 300 Metres down this road
*Continue along for approximately 300 Metres
*You will see the campground gate straight ahead.
*Turn left to reach the clubhouse (about 250 Metres down this road)
Where should I sit at the Ceremony?
We will have the first 3 rows of benches on each side reserved for our parents, grandparents and any other close family members. We ask that friends fill up the back remaining rows.
Is the Ceremony and Reception at the same place?
Yes! All will be held at the Courtenay District Fish & Game Club. Ceremony will be outside in the beautiful grassy area and the reception will be inside the main clubhouse.
What time does the party end?
Last call for alcohol will be 12am, but we will have the dj until 1am!
Can I sip on a beer outside the clubhouse?
Unfortunately there will be no alcohol allowed outside of the clubhouse and no outside alcohol can be brought in. The bartender can take cash, credit or debit. There is no ATM on site. We will have a tip jar set out for the bartender as they are doing this as a volunteer, these tips will just be going to the bartender :)
Do you have a gift registry?
Your presence is what is most important to us on our special day and we do not expect gifts. For those of you that wish to bring a gift we will have an Amazon registry linked on this website under the "registry" tab, as well the link to our other registries here. We would also be incredibly grateful for any cash towards our honeymoon fund :)
