Q + A

How do I RSVP?

We kindly request that you RSVP using the link on our homepage by May 22, 2024.

Can I bring a Date?

Due to a limited amount of space, we are only able to accommodate those formally invited on the wedding invitation. If you received a plus one, they would appear under your name when you RSVP.

What happens if I don't RSVP in time?

Unfortunately, if you do not RSVP by May 22nd, you will be marked as a "No". We will miss you celebrating with us, however, we have to provide total guest counts to the caterer and finalize seating arrangements in a timely fashion and therefore cannot accept late RSVPs. We hope you understand!

What should I do if I can't make it?

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.

What time should we arrive?

Due to limited seating at the chapel, we were regretfully unable to invite everyone to the ceremony. If you were invited to the ceremony, please arrive no later than 3:40 p.m. (Central) to allow time to park and get to your seats. Everyone is welcome to join for the cocktail hour which starts at approximately 4:30 p.m.

Where do I park?

See the map on our Home page. From Godfrey Road, use the south entrance. Ceremony: parking southwest of the Benjamin Godfrey Chapel. Reception: parking north of the McPike Math and Science Complex. Handicapped parking is marked and is also located on the north side.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Both will be indoors. The ceremony will take place in the Benjamin Godfrey Memorial Chapel and the reception in The Commons.

What should I wear?

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal, tie optional.

What happens after the ceremony?

The bridal party and family will be taking pictures nearby while guests enjoy refreshments and hors d'oeuvres in The Commons. Dinner will be served at 6:00 pm.

Will the caterer accommodate special dietary needs?

Yes. Should you have special dietary requests, kindly provide details to the bride or groom no later than May 22, 2024.

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

We do ask that our ceremony be unplugged. You are more than welcome to take and post pictures during the reception.

Are there hotels nearby?

Yes. A block of rooms has been reserved for the “Walker Barrett Wedding” at the Hampton Inn in Alton, Illinois. Group pricing expires May 14th, 2024. If you prefer, riverfront St. Louis is a 45 minute drive.
