Our Wedding

Cj and Hannah met in the lowest level math class required by both of their majors at UVM. After poking fun of the professor and commenting on the recent snow fall, the two decided to get lunch after class one day. Over falafel, the two connected over both working at PYO strawberry patches in the summer, quickly exchanged numbers, and were fast friends. Fast forward a year, the time was right to take the next step and the the two quickly fell in love, and have been, since 2014!

We encourage our guests to look and feel their best- embracing the vibrant colors of Vermont fall! We will be indoors and outdoors on grass- so stilettos are not recommended, it's a great time to embrace block heels and boots. The venue is an old barn that has served many functions in the community over the years- everything from roller derby to wedding venue.

Dress Code

A 5-10 minute drive from downtown Burlington. A 30 minute drive to the venue. There are lots of car rental options from the airport.

Limited / Non Existent Public Transit

Vermont does not have good public transit. It also does not have great Uber or Lyft options. DO NOT PLAN TO CALL A RIDE LAST MINUTE AT THE END OF THE WEDDING. We recommend guests to schedule rides with apps or local taxi companies for trips to and fro from the Venue. Or plan for a designated driver.

Shelburne Farms was designed by the same landscape architect as Central Park. Visit for beautiful walk to take in the gorgeous farm landscape, building, and views of Lake Champlain. Stay for the award winning cheeses!

Shelburne Farms

Cj and Hannah lived in Burlington for years. One of their favorite things about Burlington is the bike path along Lake Champlain. You can access the bike path via Burlington Waterfront or from the other public parks in the area: Oak Ledge, North Beach, or Leddy Park. Enjoy a gorgeous walk or bike ride. Bonus points to make a pit stop at Foam Brewer's which is in walking distance to Waterfront Park.

Hannah worked at the Intervale Center for five years. She encourages folks to explore the trail system weaving between the Winooski River, organic farm fields, and natural areas. It's one of her favorite places in Burlington.

Mt. Philo is a very rewarding shorter (about 45 min-1hr) hike. You can also drive up! Take in the stunning views of Lake Champlain and the Adirondacks. Bonus points to learn about the very cool geologic history of Mt. Philo and the Champlain Sea.

Enjoy the wines and views at Shelburne Vineyard. CJ worked their for nearly a decade and made life long friends. You may even still be able to purchase wine he made under the 'Buzzy' label in 2022!

This is right around the corner from the venue- and it is one of our favorite spots! Super cute, great coffee, breakfast and lunch offerings. A must.

Enjoy Montreal style bagels during your stay in VT! Myers is a Burlington staple- and also has the best GF bagels in town.
