Our Wedding

Cole and Hannah met in early 2017. Hannah was a freshman, and Cole was a sophomore at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. They met after a night out, in the Beta house on campus. Hannah was drinking in Cole's room, when she got him in trouble with his fraternity. As a way of saying sorry (and thank you), she decided to ask him to her upcoming formal, without even knowing his full name. A week before her formal, Hannah got mono. However, she wanted to go on a date with Cole so badly that she mustered up the energy to put on her dress and go with him. Despite having to go home early because Hannah got too tired, or Cole having to carry her because she was out of breath, they had a great time. After this, they spent a lot of time with each other, including attending several more formals together. They laughed about how their last names were three letters apart, and their birthdays, only one day apart. They officially started dating on May 11th, 2018. After only one week of dating, Cole introduced Hannah to his entire extended family at his sister’s high school graduation party. Safe to say, they were serious about one another from early on. They spent every second they could together, despite their busy college schedules. Cole would go to Husker football games with Hannah's family so he could greet her at the fence before the game, and would stay till the game was over so he could walk her home. Cole would watch scary movies to make Hannah happy (which he still hates). Hannah would watch Game of Thrones to make Cole happy (which she ended up loving). A majority of their time, however, was spent on study dates. They began to learn to appreciate each other's academic strengths. Cole would help Hannah with her Finance quizzes, and Hannah would help Cole write all of his papers. After college, Cole and Hannah have been on many adventures together, including several trips, starting new jobs, moving into new homes, passing exams, and, of course, adopting their dog, Juju, who is their pride and joy. Despite an always changing life, Hannah and Cole have always remained constant. They continue to find new ways to make the other happy. Hannah took up golf so she and Cole could spend their weekends on the course, and Cole did research on books to buy Hannah the ones she would love. On August 3rd, 2023, Cole got down on one knee and asked his best friend to spend the rest of her life with him. Hannah feverishly said yes. Now, on May 11th, 2025, exactly seven years after they started dating, Hannah and Cole have the pleasure of getting married in a beautiful place, surrounded by their friends and family.
