When should I RSVP by?
Kindly RSVP by August 8th so we can make sure there’s plenty of seating and delicious food for everyone. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!
Can I bring a plus one?
Please refer to your invitation to determine if you have a plus one. If you have a plus one, it will be written "Name and Guest" on your invitation and when RSVPing.
What does "Garden Party Cocktail Hour/Semi Formal" mean?
We would be delighted if you could join us in dressing up for the occasion! The attire should be elegant yet appropriate for an outdoor setting. A suit and tie or a long dress would be wonderful options. As this is an outdoor wedding, we kindly ask that you consider the terrain when selecting footwear—stiletto heels are not recommended.
Are children allowed?
While we love your little ones and appreciate how important family is, we kindly ask that this celebration be reserved for adults only. To create the atmosphere we envision for our special day, we hope you understand that children will not be able to attend. Thank you so much for your understanding and support — we can’t wait to celebrate with you!
Where should I stay?
Historic Tuckahoe is located approximately 20–30 minutes from Richmond, Virginia. While we have not reserved a block of rooms at any specific hotel, guests are warmly encouraged to explore the many nearby hotels and Airbnb options in the area.
Is the venue outside or inside?
Our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will all take place outdoors. While the reception area will be covered by a tent, the ceremony site will be uncovered. We recommend planning your footwear accordingly for comfort and stability.
In case of rain, we will have a limited number of umbrellas available, but we encourage guests to bring their own just in case. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to celebrating with you—rain or shine!
Are the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all at the same venue?
Yes! All three will be at Historic Tuckahoe!
When should I arrive to the venue?
Seating will begin at 3:45 PM. Please note there is a short walk from the parking area to the ceremony site. We kindly ask that you plan accordingly, as the ceremony will start promptly at 4:30 PM.
Where to park at the venue?
As you arrive, you’ll see a parking lot on your right marked with signs—please park there. From the lot, walk toward the charming white house, then take a left down the pathway lined with bushes. Follow the signs, and they will guide you directly to the ceremony site.
Will there be options for guests of limited mobility to navigate around the venue?
A golf cart will be available to assist guests with limited mobility, providing transportation from the parking lot to the ceremony site. If you plan to use this service, please allow extra time upon arrival so we can ensure a smooth and comfortable ride.
May I use my phone during the ceremony?
We’re so grateful you want to capture these precious moments with us! To ensure everyone can be fully present—and to let our amazing photographer and videographer do their magic—we kindly ask that you refrain from using your phones during the ceremony. Please put your devices on silent, “Do Not Disturb,” or turn them off completely so we can all share this special time together.
Don’t worry, there will be plenty of opportunities to snap photos and celebrate during the reception!
What will be served for dinner?
We’re excited to have a pizza oven truck serving up delicious pizzas alongside fresh salads for dinner! When you RSVP, you’ll have the option to let us know about any dietary restrictions.
The pizza truck can prepare personal pizzas that are gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian, or vegan. Please note that while they do offer gluten-free options, they cannot guarantee they are suitable for those with celiac disease.
To ensure a smooth experience, the pizza team will be informed of all dietary needs in advance and will bring your personalized pizza directly to your table.
