Our Wedding

Some how we managed to completely miss one another growing up in the same town and attending the same schools for most of our lives. We are are proof that can happen even in a place as tiny as Ortonville. We both even branched out and went to college and somehow managed to have that siren call of Beuches Food World suck us back in, but man did it pay off in the end.Now don't be mistaken it still took us another three years to stop being socially awkward and admit we had even noticed each other, no big deal. Finally after three years I(Hannah) knew I had to say something. After a slight push from a fellow employee and no response from Matt, I cornered him in line and asked him out, even gave him my number. Matt being so frazzled proceeded to throw my number in the trash. Upon me calling this out his normally cool, calm and collected exterior cracked and he expressed that he really hoped he didn't just mess everything up. I told him he could back it up by going out with me, and he did.		Our first date included good food and even better conversation. We ended up being on that date for 5 hours. Neither one of us wanted it to end. After that first date we just clicked and we were enjoying having a friend and partner, but we where in for a bit of a surprise. Now we had talked all about the serious stuff dogs and kids and what not, but neither one of us were expecting the medical miracle that was to be our son to surprise us by doing things out of order. Normally people get a little more time to plan these things out. You know maybe an apartment, defiantly a test puppy, the basics. Well not us, we jumped into the deep end and did things a little backwards and had the baby straight out of the gate.		Sorin our little man was the best blessing we ever could have received from the universe. Daily we are reminded how much he has truly blessed our lives. We had been rocking it out as parents for a little over a year when Matt planned a lovely little vacation for us to Mackinac, it happened to fall close to our anniversary of that first perfect date. We took the first ferry to the island and walked down to a lovely little beach, by walk I mean Matt practically dragged me as most know there is a significant height difference there, and as that crisp fall sun had just perfectly cute through the morning haze Matt got down on one knee and asked that all important question. To which I obliviously said yes.Before this relationship I am sure that neither of us knew the meaning of a true partner or true love for that matter. Our weird compliments each others weird. Maybe our story will never be a movie but we think it pretty awesome.
