Whatever you feel! This is a laid back wedding. Wear comfortable shoes. Some people will be wearing suits and dresses, some casual. There is a 1 min trail walk to the rock. You can change shoes for photos if you would like!

Do NOT use Apple Maps! You will get lost. Google Maps works the best. Once you turn on the gravel road, you will remain on gravel for approximately 20 minutes before arriving to the upper parking lot.

There are two parking lots. One is closer to the ceremony location. It only holds 5-6 cars and is less than a minute walk. We are trying to reserve this space for our elderly guests. Carpooling is heavily recommended. The other lot is farther away, but still walking distance and is located upward from the ceremony location. Make sure you wear appropriate shoes for walking on rougher terrain. You can change your shoes at the rock if you would like to for photos.

For Snooper’s Rock, we recommend bringing a comfortable pair of hiking shoes or sandals in addition to your wedding shoes. Sometimes it can be muddy at these locations or difficult to traverse in high heels.

This is from the planners: “We watch the weather starting about 5 days before your ceremony. If rainy weather is in the forecast, we start a conversation about an alternative plan. Then about 24-48 hour we make the call to push your timeframe to before/after the weather passes, move to the following day (pending there are no other weddings booked).” More than likely we will just get married in the rain, but we may alter time coming up to the day of the wedding. Please be attentive to your phones.

Cocktail hour and hour d’oeuvres will be served from 6:15-7:15. Dinner will be served at 7:15. After 7:15, the open bar will turn to cash bar.

Yes! We would love for every single guest to be included in our photos. Right after the ceremony, stay close by for rapid fire photos with each guest. Family photos will be taken after guest photos. After you have taken a photo with us, you can head to your cars to meet at Elsie’s Daughter restaurant for cocktail hour starting at 6:15pm.

Elsie’s Daughter is located 1404 Rossville Ave. Chattanooga, TN 37408. Without traffic, it is approximately 40 minutes from the ceremony on Snoopers Rock. Reminder, there will be traffic once you get to the bottom of the mountain due to it being a weekday at rush hour.
