Hannah and Daniel met online on Match during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020. They started messaging each other and quickly realized that they had a lot in common: a love of animals and the outdoors, a serious dislike of spicy foods, a desire to travel and make fun memories, being huge Mizzou fans and they even graduated the same semester, although they had never met while attending college. They agreed to meet in person at Westport Social, and ended up talking for over 5 hours. They set-up a date for the very next day, at Castlewood State Park, and Daniel got to meet Hannah's dog Leia. Daniel got Leia's instant approval, and the 3 have been inseparable ever since. Dating during the Covid-19 lockdowns meant having plenty of time to spend together and get to know each other. When Hannah bought a house close to her job in 2021, Daniel followed. They moved in together and built a life together. Since then they've traveled, celebrated holidays and life milestones, attended concerts and sporting events, and made so many memories. And now it's time for their next big adventure.....Getting Married!
Daniel proposed to Hannah at a willow tree in Forest Park near the Boat House, and Hannah said Yes!
The night started with Daniel planning a surprise date night of paddle boats and dinner at the Boat House. After dinner, Daniel asked to walk over to a beautiful, large willow tree where Hannah had mentioned taking photos at another friend's wedding. Hannah agreed, not suspecting that anything was strange about a walk in Forest Park since that was a common occurrence for them. It wasn't until Daniel asked to walk all the way over to the tree in the middle of the field that Hannah realized that this was no normal walk in the park. She noticed Daniel's friend following them and taking photos, and Daniel led her over to the tree and got down on one knee. After telling her how much he loved her, he asked her to marry him, and Hannah of course said YES!
