Our Wedding

Tyler and I met when we were freshman at K-State through mutual friends. We attended the same parties and events and got to know each other throughout the years. Our first official date was in April of 2018, and we went disc golfing (if you know Tyler, this shouldn’t come as a surprise lol) and then we went to dinner at Tanners! After that date... we didn’t talk for a few months until one night with some friends I got the courage to message him. I texted Tyler and asked him when he came back from his internship if he would like to go on a date. A month later we went to a royals game together (ask us about that story sometime and what happened with the truck...) continued to talk - he came back from Oakley, KS to Manhattan, KS every weekend to hang out after that!&nbsp;&nbsp; After a few dates, on August 4th, 2018 I actually asked Tyler if we were dating and that I had already been telling people that we were, so of course, he had to ask me to be his girlfriend! He actually got down on one knee and asked (4 years later he did the same!) and now 5 years later to the date, we say I do! &nbsp;As Tyler says, it was his disc golf skills from our first date that made me wantto spend forever with him. But it’s actually the dance moves for me.

Our Story Hannah's Version

In College, I was always the life of the party. I used liquid courage to allow anxieties and sub conscious thoughts to drift away and reveal my true self. I met Hannah through mutual friends and over the years we spent more time together in these groups. For some reason, my liquid courage didn’t work with Hannah. Her beautiful eyes and bubbly smile were too much for me, I was nervous. I told my friends about Hannah and let them know she was off limits. I was going after her before she even knew it. As time went on, I got more comfortable and finally got the courage to have a real conversation with her. She was kind, beautiful, funny, and the life of the party… just like me. That same night, we rode to a party together and I thought I was finally getting somewhere. Until I eventually realized that Hannah and her friends were suddenly gone. My phone was dead, it was cold, and I was 3 miles from home. As you do in Manhattan, I started walking.(This walk was one for the books. Ask for more details if interested.) This sounds like a complete disaster but I was happy with the result of the night, I got Hannah’s number. More time went by and I finally asked Hannah to go on a date. I picked her up at her sorority house and was instantly nervous as the 20 girls in the window watched us get into my truck. We disc golfed, had dinner and then I dropped her off at home. I thought the date went well but later realized that Hannah doesn’t have the same love for disc golf that I do and definitely doesn’t like Tanners. After that day, I didn’t hear from Hannah for 3 months. I had lost my chance. The summer going into our Senior year, I had an internship in Oakley, KS. As far as I’m concerned this was the worst 3 months of my life thus far. I was away from everything I knew and living in a situation I wasn’t comfortable in. With a few weeks left to go, I woke up one morning and had a text from Hannah. She said she would like to hangout when I got back from my internship. I was so happy. That text brought me out of the tough spot I was in and gave me hope. The girl of my dreams was giving me a 2nd chance and I wasn’t letting this one go. When I returned to Manhattan, we spent some time together and went on our 2nd official date. We went to a royals game with some friends and I had the job of parking the big (borrowed) truck in the tight little parking spot. Long story short, I scratched someone’s vehicle and nearly crushed a lady in the process. For some reason Hannah still wanted to talk to me! From that point forward, Hannah and I were together. It took my friends some time to adjust to non-single Tyler but they came around eventually and welcomed Hannah to the crew. Although things went sideways a few times, our love found a way. Hannah is the most caring, thoughtful, passionate and loving person person I’ve ever met. She pushes me to be the best version of myself and when I fall, she’s there to pick me up. I like to think I provide the same support for her and push her to follow the things that are most important to her in life. Although our story isn’t perfect, nothing is. But I know two things for sure. Our lives are better together, and I will always love Hannah.

Favorite place to grab a cocktail and an app! Highly recommend a "Basil Smash" or "The D Cup" and the potato chips and pimento cheese is an absolute must when you go here.

Gram and Dunn 

One of our favorite places to grab some food and a cocktail! Fun atmosphere and has something to eat for everyone! We highly recommend The Taco Tank.

Parlor 

The City Market is one of our favorite places to go during the summer. Grab yourself a cup of coffee at the coffee shop there, walk around and get a bouquet of flowers, or enjoy brunch on the Brown and Loe Patio!

City Market

One of our favorite brunch stops! I always go for the O.M.G French toast and Tyler's go to is the Breakfast Burrito. Both delicious.

Snooze A.M. Eatery 

Andys! We love stopping at Andys for a concrete. I always get a strawberry, banana, and reeses concrete and Tyler normally gets The Snowmonster.

Late Night Ice Cream 

Great place to grab a drink. We love the vibe here - also Crossroads in general is a great place to grab a drink!

Casual Animal Brewery

Plaza and Brookside are 2 of my favorite to go shopping at. I love all of the boutiques around the area!
