Nick and Hannah met April of 2015. Nick had just moved to Long Beach, California from Detroit, Michigan for a job opportunity at Spacex. They had an instant connection but we wouldn't say it was love at first sight. They were close friends, and then in February of 2016 Nick asked Hannah out on a date. For their first date, Nick came to pick Hannah up with a huge bouquet of flowers. He took her to Ruby's diner and then drove up to Downtown LA to see the Griffith Observatory. They then took a walk around Seal Beach and ate at a small Italian restaurant, where they were the only guests in the place. That night was what started it all. They both knew there was something special about each other. They dated for seven months, going on extravagant dates Nick had come up with, visiting Nicks family in Michigan, a family vacation in Seattle, and lots of time to fall more in love.On September 25, 2016, Nick proposed to Hannah at the Bolsa Chica Wetlands. Nick had set up for Hannah's good friend, Mariah (who is a photographer), to set up a photoshoot that she needed a model for. She posted it on social media, hoping for Hannah to respond to it, and a few days later asked Hannah to be the model since she "hadn't found anyone else yet". Mariah came over to help pick out Hannahs clothes for the shoot and both of them thought of a good location to do it at. Mariah suggested somewhere where there was a "dry and wet aspect" but not the beach. After a few ideas, Hannah suggested the Bolsa Chica wetlands, and Mariah agreed it would be perfect! (Little did Hannah know that they had it all set up for Hannah to suggest that, since it had been Hannahs dream location to be proposed at since she was 15). When it came to the day for the photo shoot Mariah and Hannah wandered around the wetlands for 2 hours to take some photos. After they had walked around for a while, they stopped at a beautiful spot. It was this quie little spot just under a hill, with cactuses going all up the side of the hill, water right near by, and lots of big trees keeping the spot private. Mariah had Hannah facing a certain way, as Nick walked down the hill, surprising Hannah. Nick came walking down a hill, got down on one knee, and proposed to his love. She obviously said yes! They then rushed over to a surprise set up on the beach that Nick had set up beforehand, with blankets, pillows, candles, dinner from the Italian restaurant they had their first date at, and romantic music. They laid there looking at the stars, dreaming of their bright future together. They nw eagerly await to be married to each other. We can't wait for you all to share in the celebration with us!
