We met in the fall of 2018 at the start of the school year. I was a freshman, and Kaedyn was a sophomore. We became fast friends, gradually growing closer over time. Eventually, during FFA trap season, our friendship turned into something more—and we officially started dating on March 12, 2019. Everyone can thank Mr. Maiden for bringing us together.

We dated all throughout high school and continued our journey together through college. Over the past six years, we've shared countless adventures—each one bringing us closer and building the foundation for a future we're so excited to share.

On April 26, 2025, while we were up on Eckler Mountain with two of our friends, Kaedyn decided it was time to take the next step. In classic Kaedyn fashion, while I was mid-chicken strip, he awkwardly pulled me aside, insisting he had something to show me. Reluctantly (and a little confused), I followed—leaving my half-eaten chicken strip behind.

Once we were out of sight from everyone else, he pointed toward the ridge and said, “Isn’t this purtty?” I agreed, and when he didn’t respond, I looked over to see him down on one knee.

He’s not one for big speeches, but his words were sincere and heartfelt—and of course, I said yes.

We spent time taking in the view and soaking in the moment. It was perfect—simple, sweet, and so us. I wouldn’t change a thing.
