Our Wedding

Hannah and Trystan met in the fall of their freshman year at Doane University. Trystan’s roommate had invited Hannah and her friends over for a movie night. The group began to spend most nights watching movies. Soon, Hannah and Trystan became good friends. They bonded over shared classes and activities. Trystan was also a big supporter of Hannah when she tore her ACL. (Ask Trystan about the day Hannah hurt her knee)   After winter break, Hannah and Trystan realized that they felt more than friendship for each other. On March 25, 2018, Trystan asked Hannah to be his girlfriend. She said yes, of course, and this began their relationship! In true Doane fashion, they went to De’Leon’s for their first date.   Hannah and Trystan spent the next few years together at Doane, supporting each other through classes and activities. The two have enjoyed trips to Kansas City to watch Royals games, going on road rallies, and watching movies. Hannah and Trystan eventually graduated from Doane and began the next journey in life together.   Hannah spent the following year in an accelerated nursing program, where she spent many hours and sleepless nights studying hard to become a RN. Trystan went to work, never ceasing to support Hannah. After Hannah graduated from nursing school, Trystan moved to Omaha to be closer to her. Trystan began work as a mechanic and Hannah took a job working as a mom baby nurse.   Soon, an opportunity to adopt a puppy appeared and Hannah could not turn it down! Trystan was not as enthused, but he agreed. They welcomed their silver lab, Whitley, into their lives. Whitley is an endless ball of energy and keeps the pair on their toes.   On March 25, 2023, their fifth anniversary, Trystan took Hannah to her favorite plant store, Mulhalls. After looking at EVERY plant, Trystan got down on one knee and asked her marry him. Hannah said yes! Hannah and Trystan are looking forward to the next step in their lives together and can’t wait to celebrate their wedding with their friends and family!
