Hannah and Chris met through an online dating app- Hinge in August of 2024. Shortly after Chris liked one of Hannah's photos (naturally with her four legged good boy, Teddy,) Hannah went out on a limb and asked Chris for his favorite Nacho Libre quote. From then on, their shared love of quirky humor led to texting throughout the day and FaceTiming as Hannah was in Fort Worth and Chris was still deployed on the Texas border with the National Guard.

For the next few weeks, Hannah and Chris got to know each other. Late, both separately remarking on how something just felt different this time. Mid September, when Chris returned to Fort Worth, Hannah and Chris went on their first date. Hannah remembers being nervous, but more excited to meet the man she felt like might be the one. Walking out of her apartment for their first date was a moment and ultimately a day Hannah will never forget. Hannah recalls the overwhelming feeling of suspense, excitement, joy, and hope she felt as she walked towards Chris (& thankfully didn't trip!!!) In that moment, Chris was this incredibly handsome Texas man standing outside of his truck that Hannah just couldn't believe she was going on a date with.

On their first date, Hannah and Chris enjoyed driving around Fort Worth since Hannah was new to the city and Chris a native, they sipped coffee together, and went to Chris' favorite neighborhood, Italian restaurant. Later, Hannah and Chris returned to Hannah's apartment so Chris could meet Teddy! Teddy, from what Hannah later describes, just knew too. He had a new Dad and was the happiest boy. From that point on, Hannah and Chris' relationship grew. They grew together, learned the little things about one another, laughed, explored, travelled, and spent the tough days and the ones filled with joy together. Hannah admires Chris' work ethic, strong values, protective nature, big heart, love of animals, and how when he loves, he loves big.
