We became boyfriend and girlfriend on New Years Day- but as we were falling in love with each other, we fell in love with our frequent ski dates.

We became MAJOR Bronco Hockey fans our last semester of college & bonded over our shared love of the Lawson Lunatic chants.

We took our first trip to Chicago over Spring Break! Deciding to walk everywhere we went in the cold was one of our favorite things. We love exploring and taking in everything around us.

I finished my degree from WMU! A very happy day indeed.

Kyle found a baby bird at school who couldn't fly. We helped raise him & got very . . .

. . . very . . .

. . . very attached. Birdie Sanders was a menace, but he was our menace.

On this night, we ate dinner on the porch, danced to the song we planned to be our wedding song, & watched the sunset. This night has become a core memory for both of us.

Went on many ice cream dates to our favorite place - Ritters in Portage. We parked in the same spot we did for our second date. Back in January we planned to go ice skating, but when we arrived, we found a pond instead of an ice rink. We laughed and ended up going to dinner & coming back to our car & talked for hours.

Kyle successfully defended his Thesis and graduated from WMU! We can officially begin "Operation Moving"!

One of our favorite things to do together is to find new places to take our walks. They usually involve saving bugs off the sidewalks & pointing out pretty wildflowers.

We started planning our move to the east side of Michigan! We stumbled upon this gazebo & both realized Rochester was where we wanted to start our life together.

We travelled to Montana - a place Kyle has been going to since he was a kid. We plan to go to every National Park together someday.

"Grab a sweatshirt and some sandals" was all Kyle told me before he surprised me after work one day with a trip to South Haven. It has always been one of my favorite places & he made sure I got to go one more time before we had to move for his job. A lady came up to us on the pier while we were watching the sunset and said, "You two are just adorable. Can I please take your picture?"

We soaked up our last few days in West Michigan. West side, best side.

We celebrated both of our birthdays with family in Marshall - 24 & 25!

WE'RE ENGAGED! Kyle planned the perfect proposal in the same gazebo we visited when we first felt like Rochester was our new home. A special place for sure.

1 YEAR! & many more to come.

We began climbing because I thought Kyle would like it. Turns out we love it! Doing things together is our favorite thing to do.

We are very glad that we are both "camping people". We had a lovely weekend camping Up North in Petosky. Who knew doing nothing could be so fun?
