Our Wedding

Davis and Hannah love to joke that there's a short and a long version as to how they met. The short version, is that they originally connected on a Christian dating app called Upward. The two briefly chatted, but nothing came out of the app and the two went on about life. Months later, they met face to face in a co-ed bible study. Hannah happened to join the bible study that Davis was attending, and immediately they both recognized each other... All that took place that night was a simple introduction, but it ignited a fire that began their love story. Their first date was at Optimist Hall in Charlotte, where they talked for hours. It was evident that the connection was immediate, and that God was orchestrating something beautiful. The two started dating on October 24th, 2024 and spent the following days and months meeting each other's families (and yes, the entirety of Hannah's Italian family at Christmas). Davis has also grown to love Frank, Hannah's french bulldog, and Frank loves him. One of the most important seals of approval. Fast forward to August 1st, 2025 and the two got engaged on the beach (in the pouring rain, Notebook style) in Beaufort, North Carolina near Davis' grandparents house. It was an unforgettable day with parents and family by their side. Blessed be the story that God is writing in their lives and it is their hope that you will be present to witness their commitment and covenant to each other on May 10th, 2026 in Savannah, Georgia!

Wedding Day Trolley Transportation

The hotels and streets listed under each trolley stop is your closest option and should be easily walkable, however you are welcome to go to any of the stops if your plans have you somewhere else. There will be 3 pickup and dropoff locations:1. Between Doubletree and Hilton Garden Inn (Montgomery St between Bay and Bryan)a. Doubletreeb. Hilton Garden Inn 2. In front of Alida on Williamson Sta. Alidab. Andazc. Hyatt 3. Pulaski Square (Charlton and Barnard intersect)a. Courtyard – historic districtb. Residence Inn – historic districtc. Forsyth Park area/Tatnall St/Bull St The trolleys will begin loading at 3:15pm and will depart these locations at 3:30pm with planned arrival at Mackey House at 4:00pm. The trolleys will depart Mackey House at the end of the reception at 10:00pm to transport guests back to the same locations noted above. There will be designated trolleys for each stop, and the coordinator will ensure that all guests board the correct trolley.

We are so excited for you to come celebrate our wedding in Savannah! Savannah is an amazing destination with so much for you to do during the extra time you are there. The wedding venue (The Mackey House) is only 20 minutes from downtown Savannah so we highly recommend you take advantage of the opportunity to stay downtown. We have obtained discounted rates on a limited number of rooms for the following hotels that are clustered together close to River Street in downtown Savannah.

Wormsloe State Historic Site

One of my favorite places to see! A new trolley takes visitors down this long avenue sheltered by live oaks and Spanish moss, one of the state's most photographed locations. In addition to the breathtaking sight of the avenue, you can see the oldest standing structure in Savannah, Wormsloe's tabby ruin, and learn about the first group of settlers from England.

Forsyth Park

Savannah's largest and oldest public park. Don't miss the iconic 1858 fountain, a must-photograph spot. At any given time, the park hosts concerts and recreational sports, and on Saturdays, swing by to catch the farmers market!

River Street

Cobblestone streets with tons of shops and restaurants, and a cool riverfront view! Go on a riverboat cruise along the river or a trolley tour through the city.

- Recommended <a href="savannahgrayline.us" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">trolley tour</a>: Explore Historic Savannah (90 minutes tour)- Have a coffee at the Gallery Expresso coffee shop or a pint at one of the pubs on Chippewa Square, which is where Forrest Gump caught the feather on a bench!- Visit Jere’s Antiques for an unbelievable collection of old furniture pieces- Have a sausage roll, meat pie, and a creative cocktail at the Pie Society

What time do I need to arrive to the ceremony?

Guests are kindly requested to arrive by 4:00 PM. The Ceremony will commence promptly at 4:30 PM.

What are the parking arrangements at The Mackey House?

There is a gravel lot for cars on the side of the venue

Can I bring a guest?

The guest list is limited to those named on the invitation. If a plus one is included, it will be noted on your invite.

Is Transportation available?

Yes- there will be a trolley shuttle service from select locations. See Travel tab for more details

Reception?

Cocktail hour will commence on-site immediately following the ceremony.Dinner reception to begin at 6:00 PM.
