Our story began in June of 2021, when we went on our first date canoeing in the Hudson River (and briefly getting stuck in the mud - who knew that the river had tides?) We kept extending the date, going for a swim in the lake and out for late dinner at the diner, each already feeling like this was something special.

We started spending time together every weekend, commuting between the city and the Hudson Valley - from exploring where we both lived, to taking our first camping trip together and trying to teach ourselves to fish, to summer concerts in Asbury Park and a trip to New Orleans, we had a ton of fun during the first few months and our love of road-tripping and spending time together only continued.

After moving in together and uniting our two cats Gus and Graham, we were lucky enough to go on a string of beach vacations with our families that summer and started picturing what our life would be like together, long term. It was on one of these trips that we both agreed we would get married when the time was right. Fast forward to a trip to Mexico after Christmas and Sam popped the question!

We decided not long after that to get married in the Catskills to celebrate our love - both for each other and for the great outdoors. The pictures below trace this journey to the altar!
