Nate and Hannah's journey began on September 10, 2021, at a bonfire on the Purdue University campus. A casual evening of friends, laughter, and warmth sparked the beginning of something truly special. From that night on, they were inseparable, sharing 8 months of fun, love, and countless memories on campus before their lives took a new direction.

When school ended, so did their time of being in the same place. Hannah moved to San Diego, CA to pursue her career as a scientist, while Nate took on the role of a public accountant in Fort Wayne, IN. The distance was challenging, but their bond only grew stronger. Long-distance wasn’t easy, but they learned the art of making it work—finding time for trips, deep conversations, and always looking forward to the next reunion.

Hannah's move to Ann Arbor, MI for her Master's program made things a bit easier. They now had a new city to explore together, new places to eat (finding new favorite restaurants was always a highlight), and a shared love for Big Ten sports to bring them closer. Through every challenge, they supported one another’s goals—whether it was Nate's career or Hannah's academic achievements. Distance couldn’t diminish their connection. It only strengthened their ability to grow as individuals while building a life together.

As the end of their long-distance chapter approached in 2023, Nate knew it was time to take the next step. Despite their busy lives, he carefully planned a weekend getaway to Pokagon State Park—a perfect place to celebrate their love and all they’d overcome. What followed was a surprise proposal that Hannah will never forget, filled with unexpected twists and turns that made the moment even more unforgettable.

Now, as an engaged couple, Nate and Hannah have embraced their new chapter together in San Diego. Every day brings excitement as they build their life side by side, filled with love, teamwork, and unwavering support. Their journey continues, and they can't wait to celebrate their union with all of their friends and loved ones!
