Safety Protocol
Hello everyone,
We’re so grateful you’re part of our wedding. This day means everything to us. One of the biggest reasons we’re having it now is so that Sara can be part of it.
As many of you know, Sara is undergoing treatment for a rare and aggressive cancer. She is immunocompromised, which means even a minor illness could be dangerous for her. Because of that, we are doing everything we can to keep her safe while still celebrating together, and we’d love your help.
Before the Wedding: Please Help Us Prepare with Care
We kindly ask that all guests take extra precautions in the 7 days leading up to the wedding, especially if traveling or around large groups.
Here are a few ways to help:
• Wear a mask when in crowded places or while flying
• Wash your hands frequently
• Avoid close contact with people who are sick
• Get plenty of sleep, drink water, and support your immune system
And this part is hard to say, but necessary:
If you feel even the slightest bit sick before coming, even mild symptoms like a scratchy throat, sniffles, or fatigue, please stay home.
We know that’s heartbreaking, but it’s a gesture of love that means more than words can say.
Day-of Guidelines: Protecting Sara’s Space
To help keep Sara safe at the wedding:
• Please do not hug, kiss, or get physically close to Sara, unless specifically invited a family member.
• Maintain about 6 feet of distance—think of it like holding a big bouquet of space and love.
You can absolutely wave, talk, smile, and share a beautiful moment—just from a little distance. She’ll feel your love no matter how far.
From the Heart,
We know this might feel strange, especially if you’ve known Sara her whole life or you’re family—but we hope you’ll understand that these small changes are a huge act of love. By being mindful, you’re helping make sure she can be part of this day fully, joyfully, and safely.
We are incredibly grateful for your kindness, understanding, and care.
With love,
Hannah & Tyler
