Our Wedding

Our story begins the summer of 2011 when we were cool young things, me rocking braces and Brent in cargo shorts with 10 pockets on each side. We were both invited to work with Southwestern Advantage doing door to door sales. It was life changing in more ways than we can write here. Serendipitously we were on the same team and ended the summer as the #1 team in the company. On top of that Brent and I competed against each other and ended up in the top 100 first year salespeople. You can ask us in person who beat who:) That experience laid the foundation for a deep respect for each other’s work ethic and drive. After that summer we lost touch. Fast forward eight years later to March of 2019, where we ran into each other at our church lobby. It was Brents first week back in Waco and I had been there for a year.&nbsp;To make a long story short, God had clearly led both of us back to Waco (it was never either of our intent to come back after college). Through 2019 we hung out a few times, but in my mind, we were just friends. February 2020 rolls around and Brent asks me out. Covid-19 helped take the noise out of the typical first few months of dating. We would go on long walks, work out together, cook meals (more like Brent would cook and I would attempt to salt the potatoes). Going out was eating dinner at our parents houses :) It was not long before I fell head over heels for him and the rest is history.&nbsp; He loves me.&nbsp;I love him.&nbsp;We are ready to take on life together as a team.&nbsp;

Our Story

We do not have specific rooms blocked at any hotels as due to COVID-19, we were not sure what peoples housing preferences would be. However, this is a great boutique hotel that I have personally visited. It is a 5 minute drive from our venue and is a super cute boutique hotel!

The Ruby Hotel

I have not visited this hotel in person, however it has great reviews! It is 13 minutes from our wedding venue.

In light of the COVID-19 virus and the timing of our wedding, we want to acknowledge that we didn't make the decision to throw a celebration lightly. We talked through at length having a small versus big wedding. The conclusion we came to is we want to give everyone a reason to celebrate. We realize people have different comfort levels and health situations and thus will have the option to attend in person or virtually via Facebook Live. We feel loved and celebrated whatever option you choose! We will be following our venues COVID-19 regulations and will specify those in the coming weeks.
