~1.5 mile easy hike on paths and boardwalk through a picturesque sandstone gorge to Lake Superior shoreline, ~20' above water level. Water flowage/falls weather dependent.
Home to the nationally famous winter sea caves! During the summer, you can walk above the sea caves on this trail in the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore. It is a more rigorous hike- 2.3 miles one-way to the sea cave overlook (4.6 miles round trip). Intermediate hiker level due to elevation and numerous steps. Not a good option if it has been raining a lot. $5 day use parking fee, 17 miles west of Bayfield off of Hwy 13 North.
A historical ravine to Bayfield as it contributed to the Great Flood of 1928. Located off Washington Ave, downtown Bayfield. A pretty trail that begins under the Iron Bridge and runs along a creek at the bottom of a ravine. Steps, creek crossing, some elevation. There is a network of trails but this can be a fairly short hike and can loop to a residential area a few blocks from downtown.
Numerous shallow cascading waterfalls with water flowing into Siskiwit Bay of Lake Superior. Hiking trail/boardwalk ~.8 miles in length. Easy walking if staying on the trail and boardwalk. Our favorite experience is to don water shoes and walk downstream in the rocky water on a hot summer day! (Caution and water shoes a must if physically capable and desiring this adventure). West of Bayfield off of Hwy 13 North, ~25 minutes.
A fairly easy 2 mile hike on a trail with scattered boardwalks through the woods, gradual descent/ascent, leading to a scenic waterfall (~8' plunge) as well as a few smaller cascades. Typically one can walk behind the falls. West of Bayfield on Hwy 13 North in Cornucopia, ~30 minutes.
Enjoy a quiet peaceful stroll along a 1,166' fully accessible boardwalk into the wetlands. 3 viewing areas and benches available every 100'.

17 miles west of Bayfield off of Hwy 13 North. Picnic tables and staircase leading to down to the beach. (Trailhead to the Lakeshore Trail located here as well). $5 day use parking fee.
Beautiful sandy beach in the tiny beach town, Cornucopia, located in Siskiwit Bay. ~25 minutes west of Bayfield off Hwy 13 North. You can also browse the tiny shops near the beach parking lot or walk up towards the small downtown stores, restaurants, or coffee shop and grab a picnic or treat!
