Our Wedding

Our love story was not the typical, love at first site… for me anyways. To me, it was more of a slight detest - at first touch. For those who don't know how Luke and I came to be, let me take you back to the night, when he was very tipsy. In October, 2017, I was walking up some basement steps to refill my drink. I was at one of Luke's high school friend's house parties, who happened to be dating a friend of mine, at the time. Casually walking up the steps, I suddenly felt a hand, smacking the H - E - double hockey sticks out of my rear. I turned around to see Luke’s drunken eyes staring at me, along with a sh*t eating grin on his face. I immediately told my best friend who was with me at the party and is now my maid of honor to, “Make sure that guy stays away from me.” Well, that didn't go over so smooth, as we all now know. Shortly after, McKenna and I wanted to get on the list for beer pong. She had found a partner to play with, so now I just needed one. Her partner Miguel says, “Let me go grab my friend, he can be your partner.” LOL….here comes Luke, strutting down the basement stairs. After instantly making awkward eye contact, we both realize that we are partners, and thought to ourselves, “Oh, great.” Our first game together, the detest definitely grew a tad stronger, as this man absolutely slaughtered the game for us. Thankfully, our next game was quite the redemption, as were the several games after that. We ended up winning for the rest of the night, together. That night, I had no voice and what Luke didn't know yet, was that was the first and last time he would be in my quiet presence. As the night carried on, we all weren't ready to call it, even though it was already 4 a.m. We moved the party to Luke's parent’s garage, so the guys could play some pool. Luke asked me to play, which I knew I wasn't very good at shooting pool, so I initially declined. He insisted that I try and stated he would help me. I said, “What the hell, why not.” I got up from the chair I was sitting in, and he handed me his pool stick. Luke reached around me, lined the shot up and told me to shoot—I shot, and the ball went in straight and as smooth, as could be. The moment that ball went in, I knew I was in for it, with this guy. After shooting pool, we drunkenly thought that Steak 'n Shake was a good idea at 6 a.m. I told Luke to sit next to me at S ‘n S, just before we left his parents house and, he did. We talked with Luke and Miguel’s group of friends, had a good laugh at Miguel, who literally fell asleep face-down on his pancakes, then we finally called it a night. Luke took my cell phone number and that was it. The night I see, as one of the greatest nights of my life. Nearly 7 years later, here we are - in love, about to get married and still pulling at each others chains. I enjoy every minute, Luke and I have together and am thankful for every second that life grants us. We have been each other’s home and safe space. He is the best person, with the best and kindest soul. Luke is undoubtably the heart outside my body, and my Forever Love. He and I bought a house back in 2020, have 5 fur-babies, been to several concerts, taken road trips for racing, and still have so many plans for our future. One of our biggest plans yet, is this—finally getting hitched! We are off to Las Vegas for an exciting, emotional and fun filled wedding-weekend, with our favorite people! We feel so blessed that each of you will (hopefully) take part, in joining us in Vegas; to see the very beginning of our, happy ever after. We can't wait to celebrate our marriage—so, be ready to drink some bubbly, dance, shed some tears and laugh the weekend away. 🤍

The sweetest, most caring, and down-to-Earth person that this world will ever meet is, my best friend, McKenna. 

Ken and I met as two young college athletes, at Olney Central College. From softball games, to shopping for our apartment, going to random basement parties, to just being with each other 24/7; I truly cherish all the fun times, the memories and the emotional rollercoasters we endured, together. Now, McKenna is a mother of two precious girls, and is engaged to her fiancée, Josiah. Watching her world grow and fill with love and happiness, has been something that I’ve held close to my heart. No one deserves more in this life, than her. 

I am so blessed to have McKenna as my best friend, sister and now, maid of honor. Love you forever, Ken Rich. 🤍

McKenna Richardson

Miguel is the funniest, most positive and loving guy either of us have come across.  Luke’s closest thing to a brother, is his boy, Miguel. Luke cherishes the relationship he’s made with Miguel, by holding it close to his heart.  The two grew a great friendship as teens, while attending Danville High School. From house parties, to having two hot-rod Camaros, a trip to LA and to being roommates -  Luke and Miguel are two cool dudes, who just bonded and clicked, instantly. 

Miguel is a very loyal friend aside from being one of the most special people, in Luke’s life.  I’m blessed in knowing that my husband-to-be has great support behind him; not only from his family and I, but from his best friend, brother and now, best man, Miguel. He is someone Luke can and always will, count on. Luke loves you, man. 🤍

Miguel Burgos

Kyle, another very special person who holds a big place in Luke’s heart.  His brother and longest best friend, since riding dirt bikes and getting into trouble as youngins.  The man who shows up, no matter what and no matter where.  Kyle has been the most supportive of Luke and I since the very beginning, he always says how meant to be we are… He’s the one person who truly knows Luke and I’s love for each other to the core.  A great man, father and friend he has been for so many years.  We enjoy hanging out with Kyle, no matter what we’ve got going on. It’s always a good day when he shows up. Thankful to have him in our lives and to know that the bond between he and Luke will always continue to grow. 🤍

Kyle Smith

Oh, Lee Lee, my soon-to-be sista sista!  The coolest, scrappiest Spice Girl loving female on the planet.  The one who’d spend hours with me in Denny and Angie’s garage, singing karaoke to Britney Spears, who’d dress Luke up like a pretty little princess just so he could spend time with her and the one who’d go to bat for any single one of her people. Luke and I love all things about Lee Anne.  From her dedication to her babies Aubree and Jaxson, spunky but mighty attitude, and her rap skills.  Ever heard of someone who could out rap Easy-E himself at Boyz-n-the-Hood?  We have, and it’s Lee Anne.  We are so blessed to have Lee in our lives. Lee will be my Matron of Honor on October 4, 2024; but will step into the title as my, “Sista Sista” for life.  I’m thankful for the relationship I have with Lee, and am so excited for it to continue to grow.  She’s going to be the best Auntie Lee Lee one day, and we are so excited to watch her to take on that role, someday. Truly thankful to have you standing by my side for Luke and I’s special day sister. 🤍

This is where Luke and I will be staying. This hotel is another classic for Vegas travelers and is best to book sooner rather than later.

Paris has a great view of the new Sphere and is a more budget friendly hotel option.

Paris Las Vegas

Park MGM is another budget friendly hotel near ours. It has it’s own casino, theatre and 3 pools.
