Almost ten years of Hannah and Craig… Where do we begin?!

Once upon a time in the small town of Mandeville, Louisiana, two starstruck lovers met. Neither remember the time nor place, but both knew they were destined for one another. For the longest time Craig was always pursuing Hannah and she was constantly playing “hard to get.” She had undeniable interest in him but put on a front for her friends. Their first date in high school was the peak of romance. Craig picked her up in the most luxurious transportation and took her to a private showing of the utmost cinematic experience. He personally arranged for the theater to be empty so their time spent together would not be interrupted. They were both shakingly nervous and unable to contain their joy of finally being together. Although the date was interesting to say the least, he didn’t quite win Hannah’s heart over at that time. However, his determination to spend quality time with Hannah again never went away.

Throughout time there were many run ins at events and random bars in Tiger Land while studying at LSU. Hannah had a reputation for remaining single throughout her college career to enjoy the college experience. It was not until that fateful “Senior” year spring break in 2012. Hundreds of friends all decided to book a Carnival Caribbean cruise. Consequently enough, Craig and Hannah were both on this destined trip, albeit with separate groups.

Night after night went by where the lovers were unable to obtain the alone time they both desired. In a true storybook manner, it was not until the final night when they were able to sneak away from friends to spend time together and really experience their true feelings. What started as a playfully flirty vacation fling turned into a romantic, magical love.

After this spring break the two began spending time with one another in the forms of studying together, hangouts, sporting events, dinner dates and much, much more. It wasn’t until it became overwhelmingly obvious that the two belonged together did they make the relationship official.

Hannah completely fell for Craig’s charisma, laid-back personality and out of the water good looks (Craig made sure this part was included) which blended perfectly with Hannah’s lovable, smiling, and outgoing mannerisms. Craig officially asked Hannah to be his girlfriend on May 19, 2012. It has been one heck of a roller-coaster since then!

The two became inseparable. They became one another's best friend and biggest support system. Their relationship was not always an easy one due to long distance and mistiming with careers. Craig was either across the country working or Hannah was in a different city pursuing her academia/career as a PA. Through all the struggles and hardships, their love, support for one another and dedication has made their relationship stronger than ever.

After nearly a decade (HAHA), the two have finally decided to make the life-long commitment to one another and pursue the life of marriage. Craig proposed to Hannah on Friday, December 25th, 2020 during the annual Gurievsky Christmas Celebration. As Hannah always had envisioned, they were surrounding by love and family. Hannah and Craig just bought their forever home right down the street from both of their parents. They cannot wait to continue making memories in their new home with their two dogs, Ollie and Murphy, by their side.

Hannah and Craig are set to get married on Friday, December 31st, 2021.
