Although Charleston is a couple of hours away from Myrtle Beach, this historic city can be well worth making a day trip if you've never been. You can explore the city by foot, or by carriage. The historical city market and battery are must sees. The many restaurants there give you an assortment of different food options (all of which are delicious).
