Our story begins in August of 2019, nearly five years ago. Jon and Hannah met when he was a sophomore and she was a junior at Strafford High School. After a month or so of feeling things out, and Hannah getting over her stubbornness of "not wanting a boyfriend", they decided to make things official in September. The next couple of years were filled with great memories, a ton of growth, and some challenges as well. Balancing school, sports, clubs, and their relationship wasn't always easy, but they made it work. They spent their time watching each others games, hanging with friends, playing NBA 2K, going to church, along with numerous other activities. In August of 2021, Hannah started attending college at Southwest Baptist University, and Jon was tackling his senior year of high school down in Strafford. Although the distance was not long, they had never experienced something like that in their relationship. Nonetheless, they kept their commitment to each other and saw one another as much as they could. In 2022, Jon graduated high school, Hannah transferred to MSU in Springfield, and they were back in the same town again. They had talked about marriage in high school, as they knew they were serious about each other, but it really became a conversation in the year of 2023. Jon ended up planning a surprise picnic at Fellows Lake near the end of June and asked Hannah to marry him. Of course she said yes to continuing their journey together!

It is evident that the Lord has always been a major part of our relationship, and we are SOOO excited to see the ways He will continue to work in us individually and collectively. We are forever grateful to everyone who has poured so much love and support into the two of us, and we hope you will be able to attend our special day! Can't wait to see you and celebrate our love on June 14th, 2024!
