It all started on a Thursday night at a dive bar called Ledo’s...Hannah walked in on a whim and took the last seat at the bar. It was COVID times and the bars were closing early. When they rang the bell for last call, Hannah decided to ask the stranger next to her if he’d share a pitcher of Miller Lite. He said yes and they started talking. As you may have guessed, that stranger was Tom. The two hit it off and Tom invited her to hang out prior to going home, but once Hannah entered the door, Tom started to remember everything he had to do in the morning (interview, oil change, etc...), so Hannah asked if that meant she had to leave. Tom barely eeked out a, “Yeah...,” and Hannah was out the door. Thankfully, the next day Tom asked Hannah on a formal date. She said yes, and they spent an evening eating Mexican food at Local Cantina and enjoying the DORA at Old Hilliard. Little did they know this was just the beginning. Soon they'd be moving in, adopting a new cat, traveling, and in general, enjoying life together.
Two years after meeting Tom, Hannah was getting ready for what she thought was a family dinner followed by pictures to celebrate Tom’s grandma’s birthday (shoutout to Grandma Rose). Tom had other things in mind. While Hannah was finishing getting ready, Tom went to put gas in the car. About 15 minutes later, he called Hannah and told her to hurry up and finish getting ready because he left a surprise for her on the bookshelf. The surprise was a card that asked her to meet him where they had their first date. So Hannah got in the car and drove to Local Cantina. When she got there, Tom’s sister, Megan, handed her a card that told her to go to her friend Rachel’s house. Once there, Rachel gave Hannah a third card that told her to go to the bar where she and Tom met. At Ledo’s, Hannah’s sister, Maddie, gave her the fourth card, which led her to Ohio Stadium (one of Hannah’s favorite places to be). At the Shoe, Tom was waiting inside with the final card. After Hannah read it, he got down on one knee and proposed!
From involving our friends and family to making all of the rhymes and clues on the cards, the proposal was perfect. It was a happy day all around and the reason we get to celebrate with you very soon!
A special thanks to everyone who helped Tom and his proposal, including Rachel, Maddie, and especially Megan for capturing the day in pictures and video.
