We met online in 2020, when the world was still navigating Covid. Our first date was at Olive Garden in North Kansas City on my birthday, October 28th. No added pressure at all, right? Thankfully, I broke the ice after getting lost on the way there and was fifteen minutes late (go figure). Jordan was so sweet and patient and waited for me! Thank goodness, otherwise we probably wouldn’t be here today.

We had an incredible time and talked for almost three hours about our lives while eating lasagna and breadstick after breadstick. I’m sure our waitress was tired of us!

After that first date, we continued talking and went on some more fun dates- lunch at Ginger Sues, ice cream and driving around to look at Christmas lights, the Movies, Texas Roadhouse, Mi Hacienda Mexican Food, study dates in the Semple dorm- and it didn’t take long until we became each other’s best friend and favorite person.

Jordan helped me through the last two years of college and nursing school, and I learned everything there is to know about starting and operating a lawn, landscape and irrigation business in return! We helped each other as we navigated challenges and continued pursuing our goals. Jordan was living in Overland Park, Kansas while I finished college in Liberty, Missouri at William Jewell.

After graduation, I moved to Overland Park, Kansas to be closer to Jordan and started my first nursing job as a labor and delivery RN.
Our love for each other has grown so much over the last five years together! We love spending time with our families, taking the boat out to Hillsdale or Pomona Lake, watching Chiefs football games, and spending lots of time with our pets- Bongo the doggo, and Tiger and Simba.

We bought our first house together in Basehor, Kansas in February and have truly loved making it our home! We got engaged on September 20th, 2025 and are so excited to tie the knot and get married! We can’t wait to celebrate with all of you!
